In the Heart of the Land
I did something yesterday which I never thought I would. At least not yet. I actually went to watch a soccer match in a coffee shop!! Yea u guessed it right, I chose to forego the comforts of my home, to join my neighbourhood in supporting Manchester United in their FA Cup match against Tottenham. At least I wasn't alone though, Jason joined me in my madness.
Venue: Kopitiam near block 139 Tampines Street 11
Time : 10.25pm (already 25mins into the match)
The coffee shop was already packed by the time we arrived. We didn't have any table for ourselves, so we just grabbed 2 chairs and squeezed with the rest. Needless to say, 80% of the crowd consisted of tiger drinking, cigarette smoking, vulgarities spewing, rolex wearing(might be fake), hokkien speaking, pot bellied uncles. If you looked more thoroughly, you'd be able to spot the occasional teen around.
And so the drama begins...... I shall just provide a few excerpts of what was being said throughout the match.
Uncles:
Shoot lah!! KNN BO LANG!!!
Pass!! CB BUAY GE
CB Ronaldo!! Zuo simi lan jiao!
Handball!! SUI LAH!!!! Penalty!!!
Hahahaha!!!! This is what we were looking for!! Not the 2nd hand smoke, nor the tiger selling UNCLE, not even the tempting kway chap stall.
However, the uncles were not the best part of the "drama". Apparently there's this idiot who thought that by betting against Man Utd, he would win big bucks. Words can't explain his reactions, all I can say is that he looked like he bet his whole marriage dowry on it. LOL
Stupid idiot reactions after Man Utd was awarded the penalty:
Fuck!!! Throws hands up into the air
After watching the replay:
Where got handball?!?!
After watching it again:
FUCK OFF!!!
When Tottenham had a chance:
SHOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooootTTTTttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!@!#$@*^$@*!$%@!*$%
Hahahaha!!! I swear that we thought he would flip the table anytime during the course of the match. We were laughing our ass off at him, of coz we had to control our laughter lah. We don't want to further provoke him considering how pissed off he was and that he had a Tiger bottle in hand. Of course we'd be able to subdue him with ease if we wanted to, no point looking for trouble though. But then again, betting against Man Utd? What was he thinking??
Walking to Kopitiam : Free
Buying a can of 100 plus : $1.20
Uncles and Idiot's reactions: PRICELESS
It's Lego's 50th Birthday today!!

My sister's back!!
But she's going back HK tmr -.-
When i saw the krispy kreme boxes, i told her "Krispy Kreme Melbourne also have leh". She said "oh izzit?? aiyah but singapore dun have mah!"
Hahahaha! Did I mention Krispy Kreme donuts makes me happy ? Lol
That's not all! I now have 6 bottles of Ice Wine at home! I was never a fan of wine, be it red or white. Doesn't matter the bullshit about red wine goes well with red meat, or white wine goes well with white meat. I hate them all the same. LOL
However, Ice Wine is a different matter altogether. It tastes so much better and is alot sweeter. The price is 1 stumbling block though. 6 small bottles from the duty free shops costs $99 and I'm talking about 50ml small here.
Still not all!! As my "Jie Fu's" parents open a hair saloon, I grabbed the chance to go down today with my sister to cut and colour my hair. hahahah!! Scanned through the colour book for like 20 seconds before his kind mother chose one for me. LOL
Enough about me!! Coreen and Lucas came down to Singapore yesterday as Lucas has an interview with UOB. Went to Angus House for dinner and I have come to the conclusion that Singapore CANNOT COOK GOOD STEAK!! $50 for a 250g tenderloin steak!! In my books it isn't even worth $15.
I'll give them credit for the hot plate and the bacon wrapped skillfully around the steak. But that's not the case isn't it. When I order Medium Rare steak, I'd expect at least abit of blood oozing out of the meat and not just pink meat in the centre. I don't know how they cooked my steak but it came out with pink meat near the surface and almost raw meat in the centre. Not very good is it?
CNY is coming!! Ang Baos anyone??

Trailer for The Dark Knight

Ok lah, I might be slightly too critical of him based on just the trailer alone. But that's also because among all of the villains in the Batman series, I loved The Joker the most.
His laughter rOx though! Just the way it should be. I also liked the part where he was sitting down in the police station or somewhere and clapping his hands.
Judging from the trailer, I'd break a limb or two(not mine) if I have to just to catch the movie.
*** Update ***
I forgot to mention. The Riddler is also among one of my fave villians in Batman.
