Welcoming 2006
So finally it's year 2006.. Couldn't come any faster for me as 2005's been a bad year for me.. 1st half of the year went relatively well for me as i was doing my attachment in PriceWaterhouseCoopers.. Stressful as the job was, I didn't have any complaints as 1) the allowance was high ($650). 2) The people were nice. 3) I learned alot of things related to my field.2nd half of the year was all downhill for me.. Enlisted into army.. I didn't mind enlisting into army. As tough as training was for me in BMT (I'm obese), I had plenty of fun there. I made new friends and learned interesting stuffs.. However, I also experienced the cruel reality SAF.. Favouritism is practised everywhere. For example, if yr father is some big shot guy or some high ranking officer in the SAF.. You can fail yr IPPT and still have a pass in yr record. You can then get posted to OCS and i'm very sure no matter how cock up u are, u will still be commissioned as an officer.Which makes me all the more pissed off coz I didn't get the chance to take my IPPT.. If i failed my IPPT at the end of the bmt, I can at least tell myself i'm not good enough to be an officer. But the fact was that even though i had the ability, i wasn't able to prove it.Then i was posted to a fucked up vocation as driver and if that's not bad enough, my camp's at Lim Chu Kang. The other end of the island.. And for those who says driver vocation ok wat, relaxjack, just drive only, pple training u sleeping.. You are sadly mistaken.....I don't drive in camp as I'm the detail clerk, but even then I know how xiong it is for the drivers.. They are always the first to get ready if there are any exercises and last to go back at the end of the exercise.. They deal with real life situations everyday on the road.. Any accidents happen and they'll be in trouble even if it's not their fault. Vehicle breaking down is a chargeable offence. For drivers, they already have 1 foot inside DB* whenever they go out for any mission or exercise.. As a combat personnel, if your rifles malfunction i'm sure u wun get charged for it. At most u sign extra if it's due to yr negligence. And the most important thing... I'M STILL GETTING RECRUIT PAY!!! FUCK YOU SAFBut there's nothing I can do about it now.. I'm stuck with this screwed up vocation for the rest of my NS liabilities unless someone breaks my leg or some major illness hits me which i'm not very keen on either.So... from today onwards in which we welcome 2006, hopefully everything will turn out better as it seems my luck has gone from bad to worse ever since i stepped into the army..Well i don't normally make New Year Resolutions but this year will be an exception. They are:1) Get my class 2B licence2) Get a Honda SP3) Get a rich gf4) Thereafter slack all the wayhahahaa.. I'm just joking for point 3 and 4 lah huh.. But don't hesitate to intro to me any rich friends u all have =D . Anyway I hope to be able to get my bike by middle of this year.. Wish me luck ya Lastly.Happy New Year to everyone and may all your wishes come true *DB = Detention Barracks (Military Jail)
