Totally Shagged Out

Had our first soccer match on a field in almost a year this morning. All along we were playing street soccer instead of the traditional field soccer you see on television. In street soccer, we do not place much emphasis on winning. Not that we don't want to win, but as the game is short and many games can be played a day, winning or losing doesn't matter as much. You lose this game, just try to win the next.

However when it comes to field, the game is longer and you can only play a game the day. Therefore alot of emphasis is placed on winning. The tackles are twice as hard, the tensions run higher and everybody expects 100% effort from everyone.

I was playing as an attacking midfielder, which is the man behind the two strikers supporting their attack. As it's been a long time since we last played on the field, we kind of lost our way when the match started and conceded a goal in the first 5 minutes. But we started to find our feet as the game wore on and had a few chances to equalise in the first half.

The first half ended 1-0 in favour of our opponents but there wasn't a doubt in our minds that we could fight our way back. So the second half started in the same way the first ended, with both sides running their guts out. We were looking for the equalising goal and they were looking for the goal to put the game out of reach.

Fortunately, we grabbed the goal first. Alfred (my team-mate) found me with space on the right and passed the ball to me. For me ? I saw the goal and just whacked the ball with everything I've got. Imagine the delight of the whole team when we saw the ball rocket into the back of the net. Now, let's look for the winning goal.

They say a team is most vulnerable right after they score a goal and how true it was. Less than 5 minutes after I've scored, the opponent hit back with another goal of their own. Our team was demoralized after that. However we never gave up fighting for every ball, and got our rewards with another two more goals. The matched ended 3-2 in our favour and although the whole team was exhausted, we were happy to win today.

Went Ajisen for lunch and ordered their tokusen ramen. Quite average to me, but alot of ingredients lah. Will try their volcano ramen the next time. Today's just not the day to eat such spicy stuff, especially not after a morning like I had.

So till the next post. Take Care Everyone !

手心是肉, 手背也是肉

What would you do if in the morning you promised to give your friends a lift back, but received a call from your mum in the afternoon to fetch her back too.

Would you:

1) Choose to fetch your friends back and tell your mum you're not free.

2) Choose to fetch your mum and retract on your promise to your friends.

3) Fetch your friends back den go back to fetch your mum from her office.

4) None of the above, just freaking go home by yourself to save all the trouble.

Oh and errrr... my camp's in Boon Lay, my house's at Tampines and my mum's office is located at Raffles Place.

Guess which option I took ?

Tell me what would you choose and I'll tell you mine =D

So is this good or bad ??

You are The Devil

Materiality. Material Force. Material temptation; sometimes obsession

The Devil is often a great card for business success; hard work and ambition.

Perhaps the most misunderstood of all the major arcana, the Devil is not really "Satan" at all, but Pan the half-goat nature god and/or Dionysius. These are gods of pleasure and abandon, of wild behavior and unbridled desires. This is a card about ambitions; it is also synonymous with temptation and addiction. On the flip side, however, the card can be a warning to someone who is too restrained, someone who never allows themselves to get passionate or messy or wild - or ambitious. This, too, is a form of enslavement. As a person, the Devil can stand for a man of money or erotic power, aggressive, controlling, or just persuasive. This is not to say a bad man, but certainly a powerful man who is hard to resist. The important thing is to remember that any chain is freely worn. In most cases, you are enslaved only because you allow it.
