Do you have to shout?
One day, a wise professor asked his students this one question."Why do people shout when they are angry?"
The students took awhile to think and one of them exclaimed
"Because we lose our cool! That's why we have to shout."
The professor then asked again
"But why do you still shout when the person's just besides you? Why can't you speak softer? Why insist on shouting?"
The students were stumped for an answer and none of them could give a reply.
The professor then explained
"Because when two people are angry, the distance in their hearts grow further. And to cover up the distance, they shout to enable the other person to hear them. But the more you shout, the angrier you get. The angrier you get, the further the distance becomes and the louder you shout."
The professor continued
"How about two people in love? The opposite happens. Not only do they not shout, they speak very softly to each other. Why? Because their hearts are so close to each other that the distance is almost non-existant. That's why people in love whisper to each other. As the love grows, the distance becomes so close until words are no longer needed. A simple eye contact or body language can convey messages."
The conclusion ?
When two people are quarelling, do not allow the distance between yr hearts to grow any further. Even more so do not say anything that would let the distance grow. Wait for a few days, let the distance between yr hearts grow closer and slowly talk it out.
